The Community Campus has a mission to serve people of all ages through outstanding artistic, educational and recreational experiences that enrich and inspire all who participate. Our Annual Student Juried Art Exhibits bring additional life and color to a wonderful community asset The Sun Valley Music Festival Music Institute trains young musicians in our music room and black box theater. The Blaine County Recreation District coordinates their excellent indoor and outdoor activities from the Community Campus. CSI's Blaine County Center offers lower-division college classes, as well as community education programs for adults and children. The Blaine County Education Foundation, Lee Pesky Learning Center, Girls on the Run of Southern Idaho, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Footlight Dance Centre are housed here. The School District continues to use the facilities for its academies and school-to-work programs. Footlights Dance Studio offers all styles of dance, ages 2 to adult We provide quality dance training and education, in a loving, faith filled environment. The Community Campus serves as a polling place during elections, and the Red Cross set up emergency headquarters in the building during the powerful Beaver Creek Fire in the summer of 2013 and the Castle Rock Fire in 2007. Stabler will join the performance as a guest artist from the Idaho Dance Theatre, though he danced with the Footlight company before joining Boise based company. Our two dance studios in the Wood River Valley accomodate the towns of Ketchum/Sun Valley and Hailey/Bellevue. She will partner with 2003 Wood River High graduate Alex Stabler, dancing as Prince Charming. The Campus Cafe invites visitors to have a bite and browse the web, and the HUB is a safe, supervised place for kids in grades K through 6 meet and have fun. Arpp is a Senior Company member who has danced with the company for 10 years. Concerts and special events are held in the recently renovated theater, and the gymnasium is always busy. You'll find young Footlight dancers alongside adults studying subjects from A to Z. The School District wanted to share the former high school with the community, so they joined forces in 2004 with the College of Southern Idaho and the Blaine County Recreation District to create a much needed learning and activity center that is now busy from morning to night.
